This is a work in progress; as are many things in this world.

I wanted a place where I could write without having to fit everything into a neat category. Stories, characters, observations, strange ideas, personal thoughts, and whatever else happens to cross my path may find their way here.

Some things will be planned. Some will not.

I have always been interested in the details people overlook, the stories behind the story, and the things that make a person who they are. Ash & Ink gives me room to explore those things without trying to make them fit somewhere they do not belong.

The site is changing, and I am changing with it. I am broadening what I write about, giving myself more creative freedom, and allowing this space to become something less polished and more honest.

There is no single formula here.

Just words, ideas, stories, and whatever comes next.

ON GOING PROJECTS: Currently working on my debut novel Home Base set in the Pacific Northwest. Claire returns home after her grandmother passes away; inheriting her bookstore. Upon returning home she reconnects with Julian while rediscovering family, friendship and what it means to come home.
